A balcony in certain rooms: I felt like a modern-day Juliet, standing on my balcony and admiring the bustling streets of Chiang Mai below. Such a romantic experience!
Limited shower and toilet facilities: A minor inconvenience, but with only 2 showers and 2 toilets for all the guests, it can get a bit crowded during peak times.

I had the most incredible time and experience staying at Shapel Hostel. The owners and their team were so kind and helpful, going above and beyond in every way. The attention to detail in the renovated building is impressive, and the facilities and layout of the rooms were perfect. It was one of the cleanest hostels I've stayed in, and the peaceful vibe made it truly relaxing. I can't wait to return to this beautiful little hostel and cafe.
I recommend this hotel.

Absolutely loved my stay here! The hostel was super clean and the staff were really nice. The private room was spacious and had a separate bathroom. There was even a washing machine and a drying rack in the bathroom. The location was perfect, within walking distance to everything. Plus, the balcony attached to the room was a great spot to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. Will definitely come back!
The shower could have been cleaner and the drain was a bit clogged. It was a bit noisy with the sound of engines from the street.
